Stations of the Cross | St. Vincent of Lerins | Churches Omaha
‘Sweet the wood, sweet the nails, sweet the Burden which thou bearest, for thou alone, O Holy Cross, wast worthy to bear the King and Lord of Heaven. Amen.’ The great thing about having several Orthodox Churches in Omaha is the ability to experience the different cultures of the Orthodox tradition while being one body of worship. One of the highlights of the western rite orthodox tradition at St. Vincent of Lerins is the Stations of the Cross during Great Lent. Darkly lit. Somber and poetic. The bell rings and we hear:
V. We adore thee, O Christ, and we bless thee,
R. Because by thy holy Cross thou hast redeemed the world.
